Creating Deritive Illustration Work from Image
Hello Jane Ashley,I'm a Graphic Designer and Illustrator working out of Southwest Michigan and I was wondering about your policy on derivative work. I saw your “Polar Bear Mother and Cubs, Churchill, Canada” on a Google search of “mother bear and cubs” and I think it is an absolutely beautiful image. I was wondering if I could have permission to create an illustration based on the image, and if so what would be your requirements. I don’t have any intentions of selling the work at this point (I’m actually making a poster for my mom’s birthday and I thought this was golden), but I just wanted to check with you first.

Jane........Jim just steered me to your website and it is really great. I'm a bird fan.......where did you get the bald eagles?? You need to meet a photog friend of mine in Terlingua who used to do work for National Geo and has two or three table top photography books of the Big Thicket, caves, etc. I went out last night, coincidentally, and bought a new digital Sony Cyber Shot.
